The Job Council's youth program offers year-round services to youth in Jackson and Josephine counties for ages 16-21. Our trained staff is ready to assist you in reaching your goals. Opportunities vary based on funding - be sure to check back often to learn about the latest news and service information.
Currently we are offering:
- Job Search Assistance
- Career Exploration and Training including: Work experience, on-the-job training, internship placements, hands-on training in forestry and hands-on training in Healthcare.
- On the job training opportunities for youth ages 18-21.
Jackson County Forestry Crew Opportunities
There are positions available for hardworking youth who are looking for job training in Jackson County! Are you a GED or high school graduate, between 16-21 years old and looking for outdoor job training? If so, you may be eligible for our 10 week forestry crew training. Member wage is $8.95 per hour and crews operate Tuesday-Friday, October 8th to December 20th. We have limited positions available.
Applications may be picked up and returned to The Job Council @ 35 S. Bartlett Street, Medford, OR. Application deadline is Thursday, September 19, 2013.
